Attic Roof Trusses (room-in-the-roof)
Attic Roof Trusses are designed to form the top storey of a dwelling for habitable room spaces by leaving it free of internal web members. This will be compensated by larger timber sizes. The minimum rafter size of 147mm deep and floor size of 197mm deep, both 47mm wide, is required to meet
building regulation.
With increasing land prices attic rooms are becoming increasingly popular. If you think you may require extra space in the future the installation of attic trusses instead of standard trusses is the ideal solution as it is expensive to replace or modify once the roof is completed.

Attic Roof Trusses can be designed to allow for the use of Dormer window, Skylight, Chimney and Staircase void areas. All services can be hidden in the void areas to either side of the habitable room area which can be designed with access to them.
